Our Initiatives and Projects

The Her Sport and Health Collective initiatives and projects are shaped through collaboration, shared expertise and collective action. By bringing together leaders, organisations and community stakeholders, the Collective identifies opportunities, develops innovative solutions and drives projects that create meaningful outcomes for women and girls in sport and health.

Previous Initiatives

Collective Think Tank

10 March 2026 | Eden, Currumbin Valley

Held at the beautiful Eden Health Retreat, the Her Sport & Health Collective Think Tank was the first of many Collective meetings aimed at establishing a connected network of leaders, organisations and advocates committed to advancing outcomes for women and girls in sport and health. This invitation-only event brought together 30 influential female and male allies who are making a significant impact across the sport, health, research, education, community and government sectors.

The Think Tank sparked collaboration, generated new ideas and identified priority areas for future action, laying the foundation for the Collective's ongoing work and future initiatives designed to create lasting impact for women and girls across the Gold Coast.

Collective Working Group

10 June 2026 | Palm Beach Aquatic Centre

Following the Her Sport & Health Collective Think Tank, members came together for the first Working Group session at the Palm Beach Aquatic Centre to help shape the Collective's future direction. Bringing together leaders, practitioners, researchers and industry partners from across the sport, health, community, education and government sectors, the session focused on refining the Collective's structure, vision, mission and strategic priorities.

The Working Group resulted in a series of actions to progress the Collective, including leadership development, member capability mapping, website development and strategic planning. Future Working Group sessions will build on this momentum, continuing to strengthen collaboration, drive practical action and shape a more connected approach to improving outcomes for women and girls in sport, physical activity and health across the Gold Coast.
